Questionnaires must be carefully worded in clear, plain language to avoid jargon and management-speak. Technical terms are to be used only if they are easily understood by the target population.

Style

They use the appropriate house style including colours and logos. They are normally in a tick-box format and take a maximum of 10-15 minutes to complete.

Demographics

A vital stage in the design process is to ensure that data can be analysed for specific groups of employee. It’s normally possible to ‘drill down’ to any group of at least eight people.
